There's no escape from Web 2.0...

I finally made the effort to set up a Flickr account. I'm not too fond of the way this blog handles photos, and I've heard not-so-great things about Picasa.

Anyway, now I can share a lot more at once, instead of just one or two. For now, I've only got Cozumel pictures up, but you can check out my photos here:

One thing I didn't know when I first made my Flickr Account - there's a 10 megabyte upload limit. Make sure to resize your pictures to 600x400 or so if you're only going to be using them for the web. You'll get a lot more mileage out of your account that way.

I like Flickr better than Picasa, but they both have their advantages. Flickr has the monthly upload limit, but no total limit, while Picasa has no upload limit but only a few gigs of storage.

There's a 10MB file size limit per photo. But as long as each photo is less than that, you can upload way more. 100MB per month, if I understand correctly.

I can't imagine I'd ever be uploading a 10MB+ photo.
