It feels like you're in a Tool video...

Michelle, Jenny, and I went to the Body Worlds exhibit at the Science Museum a couple of days ago. I can’t speak for those two, but it was utterly astonishing. Of course, the three of us were the biggest geeks there, walking around the bodies and pointing out obscure and hard-to-find structures like the plantaris muscle and the circle of Willis while everyone else just gazed reverently (“Ooh! Ooh! I can see the optic chiasma! Come look from this angle!”).

We cringed at handling the lung, gasped at the severe scoliosis, and laughed at terminology mishaps like “plexuses.”
The anatomy wasn’t really anything new to me, having dissected cadavers before, but it was all so well prepared and presented that I couldn’t help but be impressed.

Go now. Seriously. It’s amazing stuff.
